DUAL PURPOSE

As thse birds' classification implies, they are good for meat and eggs. They are normally docile in temperament, but everything has its few exceptions. They are usually cold hardy, but the South American breeds less so. If you want eggs, but plan to eat them when they age, a dual purpose breed is ideal.
