Booted Bantam

The Booted Bantam is a very rare, true bantam breed, meaning it has no standard equivalent. Its name is derived from the bird's extravagant feathering on the feet and hock joints.  Called the Federfussige Zwerghuehner in Germany and Sabelpoot in Holland, the Belgians crossed the breed with Barbu d'Anvers to produce Barbu d'Uccles.  The Booted Bantam carries itself in a confident, almost strutting manner.  PRIMARY USE: ornamental
