Leghorn

 

   Remarkably hardy and adoptable, the Leghorn has long established itself as a superior laying breed, capable of putting out 270+ eggs per year. The White Leghorn reigns as the top commercial laying fowl worldwide.  Quick to reach maturity, the Leghorn begins laying early and rarely lets up. It is classified as a large, soft feather breed, and birds have a flighty personality.
