Minorca

Know for its size and elegantly elongated wattles and ear lobes, The Minorca is the largest Mediterranean chicken breed.  It's an attractive fowl, but not especially docile.  George Orwell's famous novel, 1984, features several Minorca pullets leading a resistance movement.  Centuries old, it has an iconic appearance, and often up in farm-themed knickknacks.
