Welsummer

 

   Classified as a large, soft-feathered fowl, the Welsummer is an active breed, with a calm, gentle temperament.  Birds eagerly forage for food when given the chance, and both hens and cocks walk breast forward with a stately grace. Known for their iconic appearance, Welsummers are often featured in artistic depictiond of farm life, and legend has it that the Kellogg's cornflakes rooster was modeled after this breed.
