Ancona

The Ancona is attractive enough to have gained favor as an exhibition bird, yet still practical for the farm.  The Ancona is a distinct breed, known for its striking plumage and its ability to withstand cold.  Its distinctive spotted plumage pattern and Leghorn-like shape means that it is sometimes erroneously referred to as the Mottled Leghorn.
