Australorp

Not just a pretty bird, the Australorp is treasured for its utility as a dual-purpose fowl. Considered a soft-feather heavy breed, Australorps are gentle, calm, and amicable, easily tamed, and fast to mature. hens may begin laying as early as five months. Due to their large bodies, they are not very adept fliers, and, thus, are easy to confine, although they enjoy foraging.
