Salmon Faverolle

Named after the northern French village of Faverolles, the exact pedigree of the Faverolles remains unclear, but legend has it that it was bred for meat production and winter laying. These birds are personable, good-natured fowl that do not fly much, therefore doing well in small pens.  Although they easily become fat if not exercised quite enough.  These are exceptionally good mothers, due to their sweet nature.
